Dishes Not Drying - Dishwasher
Possible Solutions
Was rinse aid used?
Today's dishwashers are designed to be more energy-efficient and use less water and less energy. Rinse Aid can help you achieve the best drying performance. When using rinse aid, water "sheets" off the dishes and dishwasher interior. The Heat Dry and ProDry™ options can perform better with rinse aid. Rinse aid can improve drying and reduce water spots and filming.

If your dishwasher does not have a built-in rinse aid dispenser, there are rinse aid baskets you can purchase that clip on to the top rack of the dishwasher. The rinse aid baskets are available at most grocery stores.

Does your Model have an Extended Dry Option?
Some models have an option under the Heat Dry setting for "Extended Dry". Using this option will extend the Dry Time on certain cycles for 25 - 35 minutes. Use this option for better drying performance.
To use the Extended Dry Option, press the "Heat Dry" button twice (press once for Heat Dry, and twice for Extended Dry). Pressing this button a third time will turn off the Heat Dry and Extended Dry.
The cycles that are extended by 25 minutes:
- Sensor
- Heavy
- Normal
The cycle extended by 35 minutes:
- 1 Hour
Use of Rinse Aid is still suggested when using the Extended Dry Option.
